Introduction

The Complete Athlete, LLC is a sports performance-training business that doubles as a Christian mentoring outreach for athletes who have the desire and dedication to go through a serious multi-functional strength and conditioning program that will develop the athletes from the inside out. The program will also challenge the athletes to be a competitor for Christ in sport and in life. This style of training is designed to bring about as much neuro-adaptational response as possible. It is not a specialized fitness program that you get at the local health club, but a strategically designed program that will help each athlete reach optimal physical training capacity. Education in each of the recognized fitness domains that we see as imperative to sports performance are Cardiovascular and Respiratory Endurance (short, medium and long term), Stamina, Absolute Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy.

Here at T.C.A. we develop the athlete’s ability to perform at a high level in all physical tasks conducive to their respective sport. Our athletes are trained to perform successfully at multiple, diverse, and randomized physical challenges. This type of training is required in all your contact sports such as football, wrestling, and lacrosse. It is even required for those individuals serving in the military, police personnel, and firefighters, just to name a few careers, where this training style can be transferred. For the non-contact sports, such as tennis, and aesthetic sports, such as dance and cheer leading, this style of training is still effective because it will develop fine and gross motor movement patterns that will allow the athlete to react quicker and move in a more efficient manner, while building lean muscle mass and explosive fast twitch muscle fibers, which the majority of sports rely heavy upon.

We place a huge emphasis on nutrition education. This is the key ingredient in seeing athletes’ physical development and work capacity “sky rocket.” The program demands that each athlete come to every workout session fully hydrated and loaded with enough protein, carbohydrates, and essential vitamins in their system or they will not be able to complete the workout and could possibly be expelled from the program if there is a persistent problem.

Our athletes are under heavy training demand from running at short, middle, long distances, and doing various explosive movements guaranteeing exposure and competency in each of the three main metabolic pathways.

Furthermore, we train our athletes by using basic gymnastics and tumbling movements that improve their ability to control the body both dynamically and statically while maximizing strength to weight ratio and flexibility. We also place a heavy emphasis on Olympic Weightlifting, having seen this sport’s unique ability to develop an athletes’ explosive power, control of external objects, and mastery of critical motor recruitment patterns. Finally, we encourage and promote our athletes to explore a variety of sports as a vehicle to express and apply their spiritual and physical development.
